The CoronaVirus also known as COVID-19 is fast growing in Nigeria and the question that comes to mind is 'How did we get here". How did we get here? This is not a rhetoritical questions as we need answers, we need answers from our President and all our leaders... How?
This is so sad, for a country who understands the impact this will have on its economy and health system (Non-existence) it is totally unacceptable that we allowed it get to these point, those borders should have been shut down from the very first incidence, countries with better health infrastructures are being crippled by this event and Nigeria with zero infrastructures decided to take the risk, left borders open and welcomed Corona virus into its already porous system.
Anyway moving forward, we need to first understand that this country does not have our interest and well being in mind, so for your safety and your family safety stay safe, observe all the preventive measures, protect yourself, if possible self isolate.
I hope for our sake we now have more than a 100 beds in Lagos state and other states, i also hope the government will start to create test centers where people can walk into easily to get tested, lastly i pray the vaccine and cure to this disease is created quickly.
Wash your hands regularly, Sanitize and if you can isolate yourself. #togetherapart.
